Ingredients:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced into bite sized strips
2 Tbsp vegetable oil, divided
1 lb broccoli, cut into florets
2 tsp sesame seeds
1/2″ fresh ginger, grated
3 cloves garlic, grated
1/2 cup hot water
6 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
3 Tbsp packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp corn starch
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 Tbsp sesame oil
Fried Rice for Serving
Instructions:
Combine the grated ginger, grated garlic, hot water, low sodium soy sauce, light brown sugar, black pepper and sesame oil in a bowl. Whisk until sugar is dissolved and set aside.
Heat up a wok on medium heat with 1 Tbsp oil. Add the broccoli florets and stir fry for 4-5 minutes or until bright green and cooked through.
Heat up the wok on high heat and add 1 Tbsp oil. Add beef in a single layer and stir fry for about 2 minutes per side or until just cooked through. Check for doneness before continuing. Set aside.
