Hot Dog Pizza

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough
8 hot dogs
1/4 cup baking soda
2 cups water
Sea salt, for sprinkling
Pizza Sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Pepperoni

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400F.

Stretch out dough past the edge of the pan or pizza stone you’ll be cooking on. Cut excess dough off around the pan and use for other purposes. Make sure its thin or the hot dog edge will be too thick.

Dry off the hot dogs as much as possible with paper towels. Set the hot dogs about 1/4″ from the edge of the pan on the dough and fold over to fully enclose the hot dogs. Tuck underneath to seal. Make equal slices through the hot dog and dough. Pull and twist the hot dog bites around, pointing towards the center. If you want, you can make a fancy fan design.

Combine 1/4 cup of baking soda and 2 cups water in a pot on high heat. Bring to a boil and brush on top of the hot dog bites to make a pretzel crust later when it bakes. Lightly sprinkle the bites with sea salt if desired.

Coat inner portion of the pizza with sauce, then sprinkle with cheese and top with pepperoni.

Bake for 20-25 minutes at 400F, turning halfway through to evenly cook. Let sit 5 minutes before slicing.
