Angeletti

Ingredients:

1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups all purpose flour, plus more for dough
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp kosher salt

Glaze:
1 1/3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp sprinkles

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375F.

Whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla, and eggs until blended. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt and mix until just combined.

Roll level tablespoons full of dough into balls and place on a parchment lined baking sheet, two inches apart. Bake until bottoms are pale golden, about 7 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool completely.

Whisk together the confectioners sugar and vanilla and 2+ tbsp of water, adding water until mixture is thick but pourable glaze.

After cookies are cooled, dip top of each cookie into the glaze and add sprinkles.
