Bacon Double Cheeseburger Grilled Cheese Sandwich


2 strips bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1/2 onion, diced
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 lb ground beef
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 slices bread
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup cheddar
1/4 cup mozzerella
1/4 cup lettuce, shredded
1/4 cup tomatoes, diced
1 tbsp pickle, diced


Cook bacon on medium heat and set aside to drain. Reserve 1 tbsp of bacon grease in the pan to cook the onions. Add the onions and cook until softened, then add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Mix in the ground beef and cook until no longer pinkĀ and drain all excess fat. Mix in the ketchup, mustard, worcestershire, salt and pepper and simmer. Set aside off heat.

Heat up a separate pan on medium heat and butter the bread on one side. Place the bread butter side down on the pan and sprinkle tops with, in order: cheese, bacon, beef, lettuce, tomato and pickle. Top with remaining cheese and other slice of bread, butter side up. Cook until golden on both sides and cheese is melted. Serve.
