Garlic Cilantro Naan

After trying this recipe, I would note that much more flour is required to make a good dough. I recommend upping the amount of flour to 2-3 cups total, or plan on mixing a lot more flour than originally thought.

Ingredients:

1 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 tsp sugar
1/3 cup warm water, about 110F
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp plain yogurt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions:

Combine the yeast and sugar in a bowl. Add the water and stir well. Let rest until foamy, about 5 minutes.

Sift flour and salt together into a large bowl, then make a well in the center of the flour mix. Pour the yeast water, eggs, yogurt, and 1/4 cup vegetable oil. Mix together with your fingers until dough forms, working in flour if needed. Knead 3 minutes.

Oil a bowl with 1 tsp oil and place dough in the bowl and turn to coat. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise 1 hour.

Divide dough into 6 pieces and roll into balls. Press down each ball into a flattened circle

Brush each circle with vegetable oil and top with cilantro and garlic. Press into dough so it adheres.

Heat up a cast iron pan on medium heat. Brush with oil and cook each naan individually until browned and spotted on the bottom. Flip and cook other side. Repeat with each dough piece.
