Mushroom Swiss Burger

This recipe is for 1 burger, easily be multiplyed for as many burgers as you want to make. More burgers may increase cooking time.


2 tsp olive oil
4 oz mushrooms, chopped
2 cloves garlic
1/4 tsp salt
8 oz 90% lean ground beef
2 green onion, fine chopped
2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp ground pepper
2 slices swiss cheese
2 hamburger buns
2 tbsp dijon mustard
4 romaine lettuce leaves
1 tomato, sliced


Preheat broiler and adjust oven rack to 6 inches below heat element.

Preheat oil in skillet, add mushroom, garlic and salt to pan. Cook until mushrooms release liquid and start to turn brown.

Combine beef, green onion, soy sauce, pepper and mushrooms. Mix together well.

Form into patty and place in broiler pan. Cook until done, about 3 minutes per side. Top with swiss. Cook untilĀ about 125F internally.

Top bun with mustard, lettuce, tomato and burger.
